A Message from the World Thrombosis Day Campaign on COVID-19

The World Thrombosis Day (WTD) campaign understands the stress caused by COVID-19 and stands by you in support and solidarity as we navigate these uncharted waters together.

We are grateful for all of our partners, particularly those that work in healthcare, and we appreciate all that you are doing to keep others healthy and safe during this time.

Despite these uncertain times, the WTD campaign is contines to plan for 13 October, with hopes that we can come together to help raise awareness of thrombosis throughout communities around the globe.

Until then, we will continue to provide information and resources to help you plan, educate others and share online and we invite you to join the conversation online through our social channels.

The campaign is dedicated to providing the most up to date scientific information on the connection between COVID-19 and thrombosis. Find the most up to date information on the connection here.

If you find yourself stuck at home, prepare and take precautions to prevent thrombosis. Here are a few reminders of how to #KeepLifeFlowing:

Remember Your Meds! Be sure to have an ample supply of any medications that you need on hand. Don’t stop taking any medication without talking to your doctor first.

Get Up and Move! Being stuck at home can be difficult and it’s important to keep moving. Here are easy exercises from our friends at Everyday Health to help prevent blood clots.

Stay hydrated! It is easy to become dehydrated so make sure to drink water throughout the day.
